This was a happy day at Leuchars on 3 October 1994 when a pair of Spanish Air Force RF-4C Phantoms, CR.12-45 '12-54' and CR.12-47 '12-56' from Ala12 fuel-stopped during an exercise. Possibly the one and only time Spanish F-4s visited Leuchars although at least one (CR.12-45 again) performed an overshoot at Leuchars with a 13 Sqn Tornado GR1A during a squadron exchange in June 1993.
