This Army Air Corps Lynx made its first flight on 22 May 1978. It was retained by manufacturer Westland (and A&AEE) for trials. Eventually it was delivered to the AAC on 24 February 1983. as Lynx AH1. The helicopter was converted to AH7 in 1993. The helicopter was retired in 2013 and its tailboom is seen stored with Air & Ground at Hixon while the fuselage was reported at at Middle Wallop (being stripped for spares in 2013).
