There were fifteen Boeing C-135FRs delivered but one has crashed in 1972. The FRs are all equipped with a standard refueling boom, but all FRs can also be equipped with a boom drogue adapter (BDA) and / or a wing mounted FRL Mk32B air refuelling pod . In this way, hose-and-drogue systems - that all French jet fighters have - can be served too. Although not visible on this picture, this C-135FR carries code 93-CJ.
