A Golden Hour arrival of a pair of Royal Air Force Tornado GR4s at the tanker. The picture was made during Operation Unified Protector, a NATO-led operation to protect Libyan civilians against the civil war. 094 carries three Dual Mode Seeker Brimstone fire-and-forget missiles and Paveway IV guided bombs. The Brimstone is using an active radar homing seeker that is capable against moving targets, but the dual-mode also matters that the missile is capable to follow a laser-beam to its target. That laser-beam can be set up by a spotter on the ground, but also by the Litening targeting pod.
