Demonstration of a Flying Pencil at Schiphol - the nickname featured in Dutch newspaper reports of the visit. Aircraft wears a name and titles of propeller manufacturer VDM on the left side. It also went to the military airfield at Soesterberg. The Dutch government ordered 18 Do 215 reconnaissance bombers but they were never delivered.
