A typical Saturday afternoon at Leuchars in the Eighties or early Nineties would find just about any fighter aircraft from the USAFE on the visiting aircraft ramp. This Bitburg F-15C was from the 525th TFS/36th TFW. If you look closely you can see the Iraqi kill marking just below the cockpit. This particular aircraft scored an aerial victory against an unknown Iraqi helicopter on 11 February 1991, piloted by Captain "Gunga" Dingee and was still marked as his official mount when this shot was taken.
