This 747 was originally delivered to Alia as JY-AFB in May 1977. it then went in March 1985 to British Caledonian as G-HUGE, on to British Airways in April 1988 and retired from the fleet in September 1990. It was then registered N512DC and ferried to Tel Aviv (TLV) for freighter conversion before joining Cargolux in November 1991 as LX-ZCV. It went to Atlas in March 1994 and is pictured here lifting off rw31 with the village of Monkton in the background. The frame was withdrawn from use in January 2009, ferried to Roswell (ROW) and susequently scrapped. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
