A contingent of French AF Jaguars stopped at March after having left Nellis to meet up with their tanker. Due to the heat at Nellis and a shorter runway, they re-positioned to March to make use of the longer runway so that the KC-135 could take-off with a bigger fuel offload for the fighters as they made their way back home.
