Constructed as a B-47E-55-DT and entered service with the USAF as 53-2135 in April 1956. Converted to EB-47E in April 1964. It served with the 6th Bombardment (Medium) Wing out of Lockbourne AFb before being transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number BB553 in December 1964.
