After being stripped of parts for the rebuild of 48-610 "Columbine II" in 1990, the aircraft was parked at Ryan Field for many years until finally being scrapped in January 2002. Delivered to the USAF as VC-121B 48-608, it was sold to Christler Flying Service after retirement and converted into a large acreage sprayer. This photo is copyright © Ralph M.
