This was the first of the new generation of modern, all-metal, American airliners in Australia. It was registered new to Holyman's Airways on 5 May 1936. Holyman's later became ANA. The aircraft was struck off and broken up at Essendon on 19 December 1947. This photo is probably after repairs following an accident at Forrest on 2 February 1942. The port undercarriage hit a boulder and collapsed, and the strut went through the wing. The propeller was also damaged.
