This, the star attraction of the Yorkshire Air Museum is actually a composite reconstruction, though superb looking. The fuselage is of Halifax HR792 which crashed on the Ise of Lewis in 1945 and which was used as a chicken shed and the wings were from a Handley Page Hastings TG536 This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
