VH-RGC was registered in June 1956 to Richard Gardiner Casey, later Baron Casey or more commonly Lord Casey. He was a distinguished statesman and diplomat and the Governor-General of Australia from 1966 to 1969. Casey, a keen private pilot, owned -RGC until his death in 1976. He owned Berwick airport (YBER), which was known as Casey Field. It was a centre for sports flying and antique aircraft The airport has been swallowed by development.
