Built in 1948 the aircraft was operated at Boscombe Down by the Empire Test Pilot School and as a glider tug. It became G-BDCC fitted with a Lycoming engine and used as a tug at the gliding club at Husbands Bosworth until it was severely damaged in 1999. It is being rebuilt as part of the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, an interesting museum which only opened in July 2012 This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
