To avoid confusion with the GDR 'MiG-21PFM' designation given to the modified MiG-21PF (izdeliye 76A), the NVA redesignated its original MiG-21PFMs of izdeliye 94A as 'MiG-21SPS'. This example is on display in the main hall of the super Luftfahrt- und Technik-Museumspark Merseburg in this interesting disected state.
