VH-RMQ was registered VH-NMQ in August 1996. While Ansett Airlines reserved the VH-RM* block, it would not reuse registrations of aircraft lost in fatal accidents. -RMQ was one of those registrations and had previously been a Viscount that crashed in December 1968. RM stood for Reginald Myles, the given names of Ansett founder Reg Ansett. This photo is copyright © David Carter, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
