Seen in the National Air and Space Museum. Lt. Cyrus Bettis flew this aircraft to win the 1925 Pulitzer Trophy Race as a landplane R3C-1. It was later converted to a float plane R3C-2 after which Jimmy Doolittle flew it to victory in the 1925 Schneider Trophy Race. To be noted is that this Army aircraft was flown under the Navy designation R3C-1/2 and the Navy serial number A6979.
