This Tomcat was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 14 ('NK'), planned for a deployment on board the USS Kitty Hawk in 1991. But that plan was never realized as the wing was selected for a forward deployment in Japan with the USS Independence. Although still wearing the VF-154 markings this a/c was transferred to VF-111 on 6 August 1991.
