This Mi-24 was delivered to the Nationale Volksarmee in May 1983. The attack helicopter was assigned to Kampfhubschraubergeschwader (KHG) 3 "Ferdinand von Schill" and based at Cottbus. The Hind was transferred to the HEER on 3 October 1990 as 9613. The constructionnumber of 525 was also quoted as 340227 but that is probably incorrect.
