The F-86D Sabre Dog all-weather fighter was more complex than the similar F-86K, which was supplied to five European NATO countries from the mid-1950s. Denmark received some sixty used F-86Ds instead from June 1958. The Danes found the F-86D's systems difficult to keep up. Note the retractable tray for 24 'Mighty Mouse' unguided rockets. USAF serial of this machine, 51-8421. This photo is copyright © Peter de Jong, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
