This Lighning joined the RAF in March 1963 and made its last flight in January 1977 to Bruggen for use as a decoy as '8540M'. It has journeyed from Air Klassic Museum (Mönchengladbach) to Hermeskeil and then to PS Aero (Baarlo) before becoming part of the amazing Zruč Air Park. The wings, tail and stabilisers are behind the fence on the left. Hopefully it will be reassembled soon. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
