It is unclear if the Ampol logo was a race sponsor or the sponsor for the shark patrols VH-SHC carried out over Melbourne beaches. By 1988 it was operating tourist flights from a bush strip in the Cradle Mountain National Park, Tasmania. It crashed in the park on February 9, 1992. The wreckage was sold in Germany.
