This helicopter is equipped for its mission to detect un-exploded ordnance left in the area during training exercises in WWII. It uses metal detectors and GPS to pinpoint the location of objects detected. Later, ground crews would go to the site and investigate and in some cases they did find some dangerous things and they were detonated.
