49-0389 was the last KB-50J to fly when it was ferried to the USAF Museum at Wright Patterson AFB on February 17, 1965. Thirty years later, in late 1995, it was disassembled and moved to MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, where it was displayed with the false identity "0-80114" (48-0114). It is seen here being disassembled for shipment in February 2018 to the AMC Museum at Dover AFB, where it will be restored and put on display. This photo is copyright © Ralph M.
