A68-659 crash landed on August 1, 1945. Its remains turned up in a Buronga junk yard. Attempts by an aircraft collector to buy the parts was rejected by the elderly owner. When the owner died several years later the site cleared. What can be seen in the photo is the cockpit section with the windscreen frame crushed. Right wing is in the foreground and the fin is propped up behind the fuselage. This photo is copyright © Geoff Goodall, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
