Believed to be A70-6 based on nose art on the left side that matches a photo of A70-6. The owner said the same artwork was on the aircraft when acquired. A70-6 was originally delivered to the US Navy as PBM-3C 6526, later converted to PBM-3S. It was one 12 RAAF Mariner transports disposed at Lake Boga, Victoria, after WW2. Those that were not scrapped found non-aviation uses, including two that had nose sections converted to caravans. Current status unknown but the Eureka museum has been replaced by the Ballarat Aviation Museum This photo is copyright © Geoff Goodall, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
