The AW.15 prototype, or 'lead ship of the Atalanta class'. After it was damaged on 20 October 1932, Imperial Airways swapped the names of this aircraft and the third, G-ABTI Arethusa, so Atalanta could still be shown to the public. Wheel spats were done away with in service. This photo was added on 5 December 2020, and has since been viewed 2984 times. |
