On May 10, 1990 the aircraft was performing a familiarisation flight with 3 occupants. At some point, they were doing what seemed like (very) steep turns, where the aircraft kept ended up lower and lower. During the last manoeuver, the aircraft didn't have the height for a timely recovery and the aircraft crashed on the Westbank of the Reitdiep, near Aduardzijl. Spilled fuel caught fire and the aircraft burned down. The 3 occupants sadly lost their lives in the event.
