First flown on 18 July 1936, this was the sole Ju 52 owned by DDL before WWII. The forward fuselage was painted red. After the outbreak of the war, 'Denmark' was painted on the roof, with Danish flags on wings and tail surfaces. DDL was allowed to carry on flying under the German occupation of Denmark. Selandia crashed near Vienna - Aspern on 18 December 1942. This photo was added on 7 December 2020, and has since been viewed 1363 times. |
