Saint Paul Island is the largest of the Pribilof Islands, a group of four Alaskan volcanic islands located in the Bering Sea between the USA and Russia. Whilst in Anchorage a couple of friends and I decided it would be nice to go for a ride on an L-188 Electra. Reeve arranged for us to fly to St Paul and back. At the time St Paul had a gravel runway and I had the cockpit J/S for landing. The Station Manager took us for a quick ride to see walruses and sea lions in their wild habitat. Flight times were 2:14 and 2:30. Back in ANC the frame's total time was logged as 41411 hours. This photo is copyright © Danny Grew, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
