VP-PAP was sold in Australia as VH-EOO in September 1970. The style of the titles "Air Melanesiae" was to satisfy the dual languages of the then colonial condominium of New Hebrides, ruled jointly by the UK and France - Melanesia in English and Melanesie in French. On independence the nation became Vanuatu. This photo is copyright © David Carter, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
