G-APEO was converted by Aviation Traders at Southend, along with G-APEM, to the first Vanguards of V.953C "Merchantman" standard. 'EM by October 1969 and 'EO by February 1970. Further conversions of the BEA fleet took place at Heathrow using kits supplied by ATEL. Withdrawn from use at Prestwick in May 1975.
