Batik Air is part of the rapidly growing and expanding Lion Air Group, which mainly operates B737 aircraft. However, about half of Batik Air's fleet consists of forty A320's. Batik Air's service and seating comfort is better than the average Lion Air 737, as the airline targets business people and travellers willing to pay more for a nice travel experience, also expressed in the attractive Batik style livery applied to the planes.
