Blasting away from the Kabul runway, topped of with live GBU air to ground bombs, a filled 30mm canon and air-to-air Sidewinders, this Norwegian Viper starts a new mission to fight Taliban. One could think "why Sidewinders, as there was no air-to-air threat over Afghanistan"... the clarification is that the wing stress is decreased with the attachment of Sidewinders. The Norwegians shared the deployment within ISAF with the Dutch F-16s and together they formed the "first Netherlands / Norwegian Expedition Air Wing (EEAW) F-16 International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Detachment 4.
