Montenegro's secession from the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro meant that Montenegro Airlines was no longer able to operate profitable routes from Belgrade. However, in order to remain active on the Serbian market, the subsidiary Master Airways was founded in 2006. It took over this Fokker 100 from the parent company and began operating flights from Belgrade to Zurich on behalf of Montenegro Airlines. In 2007, the airline was involved in a corruption scandal in Montenegro. Shortly afterwards, the airline was dissolved and the single aircraft rejoined the parent company's fleet.
