After retirement in late 1989, this Corsair was transferred to the Puerto Rico Air National Guard where it was assigned to the 198th Fighter squadron. After retirement, the SLUF was flown to AMARC for storage on 3 August 1992. It received inventory code AE0190. In August 1997 it was moved to the HVF West Yard Scrapyard.
