The rarest of the Piper Arrows. From 1989 to 1994 Piper built small numbers of Piper Arrow IVs with conventional tails in the place of the T-tail that had distinguished the Arrow IV since it appeared in 1979. Production then ceased. After the company came out of bankruptcy in 1995 the Arrow with a conventional tail was among the models to go back into production. However it became the Piper Arrow with no Roman numerals. VH-FPJ is a 1989 built aircraft.
