Designed in southern France during the war, the elegant Bretagne first flew in 1945 and was comparable to the Convair CV-240, seating 30 to 43 passengers. Civilian use was mainly with French colonial operators. No 9 saw service with Air Algérie, Aigle Azur Indochine and the French navy.
