This MD-81 was delivered to Swissair in August 1981 and is pictured taxying out to rw18 for departure home. The plane was returned briefly in February 1997 to McDonell Douglas when it acquired the registration N532MD, before joining Dinar Lineas Aereas in May1997 as LVWTY. The plane arrived in Shannon (ANN) around September 2001 for storage, where it fell gradually into disrepair and was eventually scrapped in December 2006. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
