The exhibited training glider is named 'Türkenlouis' - the nickname of the Marquis Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden (1655-1707), a general in the wars against the Turks - and was built from plans by the Rastatt Sport Flying Club between 1951 and 1954. It was used only for a short time because the club began two-seater training in 1956. This photo is copyright © Erik Frikke, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
