This DC-10 was delivered to JAS in March 1988. From December 1997 it started to fly with Harlequin Air, also as JA8550, but then from March 2000 until October 2006 it was with Northwest as N243NW. It then flew with Omni Air from October 2006 as N522AX but was retired to Goodyear (GYR) in February 2012, and then moved to Oscoda (OSC) in January 2014. Fortunately, it was rescued from the scrapman by conversion to Super Tanker and is currently still active with 10 Tanker Air Carrier. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
