Lāčplēsis, 'the Bear-Slayer', features in an epic late 19th century poem. In contrast, the name and livery of the Baltic Bees have been chosen to provide a friendly and pieceful alternative to purely military fast jet teams. The aircraft is in fact ex Russian Air Force.
