Ex-Auster AOP.6 VF519 c/n 2288. Was badly damaged in gales at Netherthorpe on 2nd January 1976 when it was blown into a parked caravan and caught fire. The fuselage was purchased by the Rochford Hundred Flying Group as seen here and transported to Southend as spares for G-ASAK. The engine-less fuselage was eventually sold on in January 1996 and is believed to be on extended rebuild in Farnham. This photo was added on 11 April 2021, and has since been viewed 349 times. |
