Between the years 1973 to 1980, in total, nineteen Yak-40 were purchased by Poland. This example was delivered to the Polish AF in April 1979 and is pictured taxying out for departure. After being withdrawn from service the plane is now on display at the Muzeum Sil Powietrznych (Polish AF museum) at Dęblin. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
