Although the word "Twinstar" appears on this aircraft it should have a second R at the end i.e. Twinstarr. This had to be done due to the pre-existence of the Aerospatiale Twinstar. The Twinstarr gyroplane was designed by Don Farrington and the kits were originally marketed by Faringdon Aircraft Corporation. The design was too heavy to qualify for UK certification and a lighter version the Twinstarr Lite was produced with a Verner two cylinder engine in an attempt to achieve UK certification This photo is copyright © John Allan, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
