In late 1975, Marine Strike Fighter squadron (VMFA) 134 Smoke flew the A-4F Skyhawk before its switched to Phantom II in 1983. The squadron transitioned to F/A-18A Hornet in late 1989. Built in December 1967 as F-4J and converted to F-4S in the late seventies. The aircraft went into storage at Naval Air Deport Cherry Point (NC) in February 1989 and was last reported as bagged at this location in August 1999. It's current fate is unknown.
