Built for USAAF as C-47A 43-30696 and delivered in September 1943. Registered as a DC-3C with the FAA. Upgraded with a Garrett Air Research Maximizer Kit which included main landing gear doors and more powerful engines. When this slide was taken the a/c was owned by Avion Airways, Inc.
