This F-16AM of 2 Wing was involved in a weird accident at Leeuwarden air base (Netherlands) and written off on 1 July 2021. It is said that during start-up the engine kicked into afterburner after which the F-16 jumped the chocks and runned into an opposite building opposite the flightline. The pilot ejected on time and was slightly injured. Besides the pilot two other persons were slightly injured that were working in the building.
