The "City of Boston" leaps off runway 36 at DCA. I saw my first jet aircraft in 1949 at a military airshow, and observed them at close range for several years during my duty with the USAF. The awesome performance of the 757 eclipsed any of the early military jets when it arrived on the scene in the mid eighties.
