This jet was written off whilst operating with 19 (R) Squadron at Valley on February 15th 2002. It departed runway 32 for the morning weather check flight and shortly after take off had a bird strike which resulted in power loss. A turn back to land on runway 19 was attempted along with a relight. When it became obvious that the runway would not be reached and the relight had failed the pilot ejected safely and the jet crashed just north of Valley.
